This week, preliminary works will begin on the exciting Union Court Revitalisation project.
Changes will occur gradually over the next month, and we will provide regular updates via this website and our newsletter to let you know what is happening.
What changes are happening from 10-11 July?
- University Avenue will remain open and will be accessible to pedestrians and cyclists.
- Site fencing will begin to go up on the Union Court side of Sullivans Creek.
- Isolated works will begin in the Arts Centre.
- The Concessions Building in Union Court will be closed.
- The Manning Clarke Centre is already closed and will remain closed.
- Water main works started on Kingsley Street near the Street Theatre last week, and will continue this week as well. Please note that this area is currently fenced off.
- Stormwater works near Chifley Meadow will begin. Please note that Chifley Library will remain open over the entire project.
What level of noise and disruptions are expected from 10-11 July?
During this week, noise and disruption is expected to be low as the works being carried out in Union Court are minor. The exception to this is water main works currently occurring on Kingsley Street, as this will continue to create a moderate amount of noise. Any works happening on site will occur between 7am and 5pm weekdays.
Pop-Up Village update
Fencing for the Pop-Up Village came down last week and STA Travel, Commonwealth Bank, ANU Pharmacy, Kubrick café, Mr Papa and MOLO Live bar all begun trading.
More businesses will come online this week, with Brodburger, Mikebabz and What the Pho all expecting to be serving delicious food.
